Spanish Company to Build 100megawatts Electricity Plant In Kano

The Spanish ambassador to Nigeria, Alfonso Sebastian has confirmed that a Spanish company is interested in constructing a Photovoltaic Electricity Plant that will produce 100mw of electricity in Kano state.
The envoy said the plant will be at no cost to the Kano State government, if it can provide them with the piece of land.
Sebastian suggested that the Kano State governor acquired a site near the national power grid for the take off of the project.
In his remarks when he paid courtesy call on the governor at his office in Government House, Kano, Alfonso maintained that his country is interested in trade, water supply and technology.
According to him Spain has one of the largest gross domestic products in the world and potentially rich in renewable energy sources.
On its part, the Kano State government has promised to provide land and other incentives that will encourage foreign investors to set up manufacturing plants and other infrastructure in the state.
